Traces of St Mary's Isle
Traces of St Mary's Isle is a stitched map of memory and significance, created from hand dyed linen, fish skin, thread and symbolic objects gathered along the peninsula. Ley lines and the cyanometer’s measure of blue thread through the piece, marking both energy and atmosphere. Material fragments mirror the textures of the shore, while fish skin carries the sheen of the tidal edge. Through layering, mending and careful placement, the work becomes both chart and keepsake, mapping an intimate connection to the landscape and the stories that continue to live within it.
