Collection: St Mary's Isle

St Mary’s Isle is a picturesque, tree-lined peninsula in Dumfries and Galloway, located two miles south-west of Kirkcudbright. Best known for the 4.5-mile Sailor’s Walk, the route offers expansive views across the River Dee estuary, Manxman’s Lake and Little Ross Island.

Once the site of a 12th-century Augustinian priory, the area later became a private estate, with the original ruins removed during landscape redesign in the 18th century.
